Adams is a small town of about 500 people; very active and supportive of their school, churches, and rural way of life. The town offers many services, such as Lutheran & Methodist Churches, Rescue Squad, Fire Department, bank, large park, grocery store, cafe, health clinic, pharmacy, insurance offices, and a hardware store, to name a few.

Gold Crest offers Independent Living, Assisted Living, Rehabilitation, Adult Day Care, Child Day Care, and Skilled Nursing Home Services. The facility also offers campus residents the opportunity to use our equipped wellness center and paved walking path. The wellness center allows residents to use state of the art exercise equipment at no charge. The walking path meanders around our scenic campus and offers areas to sit and visit.
